i m in love... ninja rocks

THE WORLD'S FASTEST 250CC PRODUCTION BIKE

So, you thought Yamaha R15 was the ultimate…! It’s just a matter of time now before you could step into a Bajaj Pro-Biking showroom, the exact same place where you get Pulsar 200 and 220, and ride off on the fastest 250cc production bike in the world. Yes, it is official that the first bike from the Kawasaki stable will be this - the awesome new 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R.Yes, the all new Kawasaki Ninja 250R is perhaps the biggest beast that would be ruling the Indian roads in the very near future. Bajaj plans to launch this monster by December, 2008. the Kawasaki Ninja 250R is the world’s fastest 250cc production bike with a massive 33bhp raw power.

Most of Kawasaki’s sports bikes now have petal discs. The Ninja 250 is no exception. The rear disc is a 220mm dia and complements the front quite well. 33PS of power is laid down via a 130mm tubeless tyre mounted on a 17inch alloy. The seating posture of the 250 is sporty, yet comfortable. This can be attributed to the raised handle bars and not so aggressively positioned rear-sets. The front fairing should provide good wind protection. Step rear-seat and a huge tank add to the sporty stance of the bike. Fuel capacity stands at 17.5-litre.

The front of the Ninja 250 seems to have taken cues from other Kawasaki bikes like the bigger Ninja 650R. Fairing mounted RVMs look well and seem to be quite functional as well. The Ninja 250 should appeal a lot to the enthusiasts as it’s one of the best looking 250s even in the international market.A 250cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin may come with fuel injection too (FI isn’t introduced in all the markets). Maximum power is rated at 33PS (at 10,500rpm), while max torque stands at 21Nm (at 8,500rpm). With a weight of 152kg, the bike should easily do a 6-7 sec 0-100km/h with a top speed in the region of 155-160km/h. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and should help put down the power on the road in the best manner possible. The engine performs well on the fuel efficiency front as well and should return around 20-22kmpl in normal city riding.

whatever u do....

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,

there will always be sunshine,

after the rain ....

Perhaps you may stumble,

perhaps even fall,

But God's always ready,

To answer your call ...

He knows every heartache,

sees every tear,

A word from His lips,

can calm every fear ...

Your sorrows may linger,

throughout the night,

But suddenly vanish,

in dawn's early light ...

The Savior is waiting,

somewhere above,

To give you His grace,

and send you His love ..

Whatever your cross,

whatever your pain,

"God always sends rainbows ....

after the rain ... "

a crazy language

Let's face it -- English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.

We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices?

Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend, that you comb through annals of history but not a single annal? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preacher praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? If you wrote a letter, perhaps you bote your tongue?

Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? Park on driveways and drive on parkways?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and wise guy are opposites? How can overlook and oversee be opposites, while quite a lot and quite a few are alike? How can the weather be hot as hell one day and cold as hell another.

Have you noticed that we talk about certain things only when they are absent? Have you ever seen a horseful carriage or a strapful gown? Met a sung hero or experienced requited love? Have you ever run into someone who was combobulated, gruntled, ruly or peccable? And where are all those people who ARE spring chickens or who would ACTUALLY hurt a fly?

bicameral country

Arjun Singh addressed as “The Biggest Bastard on Earth” by many; has finished his job smoothly as planned by Congress, but are we done with our job!... seems like we tried a lot, almost every metro city has showed it’s anger, like we did when India lost a cricket match in world cup. Is it as important as winning a world cup, for some it may not be. They can waste their whole day in watching a match and praising and abusing their players, when they were supposed to fulfill their responsibilities as their players did. They would read the whole sports page filled with cricket news but never look at editorial page. Any ways…

AIIMS, IITD and other medical and engg. Colleges from Delhi really tried well even against Supreme Court’s decision. IIT Kanpur and Roorkee used press conference and silent march and thought that that’s enough, IIT Chennai didn’t even think of its necessity.

At the end we got nothing and Arjun Singh was still at the same position even after facing all this followed by a pathetically faced interview by CNN-IBN. Those (like me) who were expecting something from other parties were really disappointed when BJP came up with idea of reservation for poor Brahmins (say general category). I thought, is there any one left who needs reservation? Is there any need of taking exams rather than distributing them according to reservation percentages? Even Paritran (a party by 5 IITians, whose president did his MS from Georgia tech) with all its members as well educated personalities could not stand for Education, they couldn’t even try to stop massacre of several hearts which stopped before applying for JEE / CAT / PMT, I had great expectations from them but they ruined it.

One suggestion from my side for Arjun Singh and Congress, why don’t they think of amendments in personal laws and divide our country in “General” and “other categories” properly in a straight forward manner rather than using reservation as a tool for it indirectly. Make new personal laws named “General laws” and “Backwards’ laws” instead of the present system which is based on religion like currently we have “Hindu law”, “Christian law”, ”Parsi law” and “Muslim law” (after knowing about these personal laws, I could understand why they show four differently dressed people in a small poem “hum sab ek hain” taught in class I or II).I don’t understand what is definition of secularism, dictionary says “where we treat all from different religion similarly” but here in India, as secular country, we treat all of them in intirely different way depending upon their religion and personal laws. Any ways, one thing is sure, if Congress follows this idea then they will do at least good job eliminating a Babel (“Muslim laws” are frequently referred as it) and Muslim girls will get troubleshoot from all the contemporary problems of Muslim laws which sanctions degradation of women through their confinement to homes coupled with the freedom of bigamy and whimsical divorce on the part of men (bigamy for men and that is even when percentage of women with respect to men is much lower in India, what a crap!). Thanks to modernization or say westernization which made, Sania Mirza and girls from Miranda House Delhi, able to violate these laws.

Actually its not Arjun Singh’s fault, even Congress hasn’t done anything wrong, all they did was to improve their position…Improve????? How can they enjoy when whole country is opposing them, at this rate they should be out of governance next time….the answer lies in our mentality.

When I was at home during elections, I asked my neighbour if he was coming with us to vote, he replied reluctantly, “my single vote won’t change results”. I was astonished and then felt pity for my country where people think like him, but soon I realized its not just him but many others specially general category people take voting in a similar fashion. They are too busy to vote. Many of the students and employees didn’t vote because their native place is not in Allahabad and they don’t have time to get documents modified. The worst part is even if they vote they are never united like SC / ST / OBC. That’s the reason why politicians can afford to oppose “General Category”. If you are not valuing your vote it means you are neglecting yourself then how can you expect Government to take care of you.
